Moxibustion Service

divider

Moxibustion is commonly used with acupuncture as an external heat therapy.  It typically involves the burning of a Chinese herb called Mugwort over specific acupuncture points or regions to facilitate the healing process.  Historically moxibustion has been used for multitude of functions, but its common uses are: to tonify the body; promote blood circulation; warm the acupuncture channels; and support the immune system.

Moxa treatments are typically performed to reduce arthritis, improve digestive problems, treat gynecological conditions, and as a preventative measure against colds and flu.
